View/Edit a Data Asset Schema

Adding details to Schemas can add rich context to the type of data within each Asset, allowing other data partners to better understand what each element in the Data Asset represents.

View Schema of a Data Asset

To view the Schema of a current Data Asset in the Catalog:

  1. Click "Data Assets"

  2. Click "Catalog"

  3. Select the name of the Data Asset to view Schema

  4. Go to the "Data Asset Schema" tab

In this view, you can access the following information about the Schema of each Data Asset:

  1. Field Name

  2. Data Type

  3. PII

  4. Description

  5. Data Requirements

Edit Schema of a Data Asset

To edit the Schema of a current Data Asset in the Catalog:

  1. Click "Data Assets"

  2. Click "Catalog"

  3. Select the name of the Data Asset to edit the Schema

  4. Go to the "Data Asset Schema" tab

  5. Select "Edit" on the Field you wish to edit

You may manually edit the following information of each Field:

  1. PII

  2. Description
